RCB vs SRH: Kavya Maran, the owner of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), celebrated in a frenzied fashion after Travis Head slammed a 39-ball hundred against Royals Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday, April 15.

Head, who was bought for Rs 6.80 crore in the IPL 2024 auction, stood tall on the expectations of the franchise once again and hammered nine fours and eight sixes en route to the fourth fastest hundred in the IPL history.

The impact of the innings was such that SRH crossed the 100-run mark in 7.1 overs, and the 200-run mark in 15 overs only. Travis Head brought up his hundred with a four off Vijaykumar Vyshak on the fourth ball of the 12th over.

The left-hand batter celebrated the scintillating hundred - fastest by an SRH batter - by placing his helmet on the handle of his bat. Head was dismissed in the following over from Lockie Ferguson for 102 off 41 as the everyone at Chinnaswamy got on their feet for a standing ovation.

Travis Head has now scored 235 runs in five IPL 2024 matches at an average of 47 and a strike rate of 199.15. He has smashed 28 fours and 12 sixes in the ongoing tournament so far.

Twitter reactions as Travis Head hits 39-ball hundred

Head's knock set the tone for SRH as they broke their own record for highest IPL total. Earlier this season, they scored 277/3 against Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad. They bettered the record by finishing at 287/3 against RCB.
