RCB vs SRH: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) set social media platforms on fire after breaking their own record for highest team total in IPL history on Monday, April 15. SRH scored 287/3 in 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium to better their previous record.
Earlier this season, SRH broke RCB's 11-year-old record for highest IPL total by scoring 277/3 against Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. They broke their own record at RCB's den this time.

Being asked to bat first, SRH came out all guns blazing to rip apart Mohammed Siraj and Glenn Maxwell-less RCB in front of their home fans. Abhishek Sharma (34 off 22) and Travis Head (102 off 41) set the tone with a 108-run partnership off 49 balls.
Head hit a 39-ball hundred - fourth fastest in IPL history and the fastest by a SRH batter. Heinrich Klaasen also continued his rich vein of form with 67 off 31 (two fours and seven sixes), and partnered for 66 off 27 balls with Aiden Markram (32* off 17).
The unbeaten fourth wicket partnership between Markram and Abdul Samad (37** off 10) accounted for 56 off 19 balls. The record total from SRH is also second-highest in T20 cricket after Nepal's 314/3 against Mongolia in Asian Games 2023.
SRH also holds the record for most sixes in an IPL innings. They smashed a total of 22 sixes in the innings. RCB, who held the record earlier, hit 21 sixes against Pune Warriors in IPL 2013. The stupendous outing by the SRH batters left everyone in awe.
SRH, who have struggled in the IPL over the last few seasons, have turned the table this season. The Pat Cummins-led side has won three of their first five matches. They are sitting at the fourth spot in the 10-team IPL 2024 points table.
