RCB-W vs MI-W injury update, key players
Let's take a look at the injury updates and key players from both sides.
Royal Challengers Bangalore injury update
There are no reports of injury from the RCB camp on the eve of the match with their batters firing runs in the last game.
RCB-W batters: Sophie Devine scores stunning 99, Smriti Mandhana returns to form
Playing at the Brabourne in the last game, whose flat track provided batters to have a go at the bowlers late in the season, Sophie Devine played her best knock at the WPL with a stunning 36-ball 99 not out. The Kiwi opener has been in good form in the latter half of the season with 236 runs in the last five innings.
Her opening partner Smriti Mandhana finally got some runs under her belt after a while as she scored 37 runs off 31 balls during a 125-run stand. In her last four innings before this, the southpaw scored just 30 runs.
Richa Ghosh (wicket-keeper) didn't get to bat in the last game but has been able to score sopme runs with knocks of 31 and 37 in the games before. The runs came after the T20 World Cup star failed to score big early in the season.
Heather Knight, who had an underwhelming WPL, played a cameo of 15-ball 22 and has two decent knocks to her name in the last two outings (scoring 24 before). Despite being named under the batter section, the England captain often chips in with her off-spin as well and may play a role in the next game with the match being played at the DY Patil.
Diksha Kasat is kept in the lower order to play the role of a finisher but she didn't get the opportunity to bat in the last three games.
RCB-W all-rounders: Ellyse Perry lethal with ball on DY Patil surface
Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry has consistently played good knocks for RCB-W but her last spell of 3/16 at DY Patil showed that her bowling prowess is at the next level when the condition suits her.
Spin all-rounder Shreyanka Patil picked 2/17 in the last game and has impressed with her death-over bowling. She also is a capable quick run scorer lower down the order.
Left-hander Kanika Ahuja showed early in the tournament that she knows how to hit it hard in the death overs and scored a match-winning 46 at this venue in her last outing.
Sobhana Asha has been effective with her leg spin off late, especially at the DY Patil, where she took four wickets in the last two games.
RCB-W bowler: Megan Schutt finds a way to sustain in sub-continent conditions
Australia's star pacer Megan Schutt had a horrible WPL early on with the bowler, along with new-ball partner Renuka Singh, leaking runs aplenty in RCB's losing streak. The bowler, however, has been an improved bowler off late and took three wickets in as many games before giving away 53 runs on a batting-friendly Brabourne in the last game.
Apart from her, left-arm spinner Preeti Bose has been the third spin option of the team and is likely to play the game after bowling an impressive 1/23 in three overs while other bowlers leaked runs.
Mumbai Indians injury update, team news
Pooja Vastrakar has returned to the playing 11 after missing out on a game with an injury while no new concerns were reported from the team since losing to Delhi last night.
MI-W batters: Harmanpreet Kaur, Yashtika Bhatia in good touch
Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has been scoring runs at a good rate with 252 runs in the last four innings. She has been more effective at the Brabourne with two half-centuries in her last two outings there.
Yashtika Bhatia (wicket-keeper) might not have scored runs in the last two games but will be too early to discredit her as the batter played some good knocks throughout the season.
Batting down the order, Amanjot Kaur scored a 16-ball 19 in the last game but has seen very few batting opportunities.
MI-W All-rounders hold key in finding winning momentum
Mumbai Indians' strength throughout the tournament has been their all-rounder Hayley Matthews, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Amelia Kerr.
Matthews, whose batting form has dipped a bit but remains in good touch with a 35-run knock recently, has been an important bowler of the side with 12 wickets to her name. Nine of them came in the last five games.
Nat Sciver didn't score (0 and 5) in the last two games at the DY Patil like many others but has been among the in-form batters of the side with 187 runs in seven matches while batting at No. 3. The English all-rounder has been influential with the ball as well with 8 wickets.
New Zealand's Kerr didn't get to show her worth with the bat this WPL but has picked 10 wickets, including six wickets in the last three games before she got to bowl only an over against Delhi Capitals in a shambolic defeat.
MI bowler: Saika Ishaque goes wicketless in three games
MI's defeat in the last two games is coincident with Saika Ishaque, who was leading the Purple Cap race for most of the tournament, going wicketless in three games. Rivals batters have acknowledged her bowling prowess and treated her with respect by seeing out her quote of overs.
The team's pace duty largely falls on Issy Wong and Pooja Vastrakar, along with Nat Sciver. Wong has been a key member of the team with six wickets to her name. She is a capable batter too and bats in the middle order with knocks of 23 and 32 in the last two games.
Vastrakar, on the other hand, has returned from an injury and has been used as a utility bowler, who gets one or two overs in a game. Her batting duties have been limited too this season but is capable of playing big shots.

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians pitch report RCB-W vs MI-W
DY Patil Stadium appeared much slower than before in the last match with spinners finding it more comfortable to bowl in. Opting to bowl first after winning the toss has been the norm at the venue with spinners finding more help early on. The wicket is much easier to bat on in the second innings.
Recent matches suggest that 160 could be a good total to defend on the wicket but, as pointed, scoring runs after winning toss won't be easy.
