Ahead of the IPL 2025 retention deadline, England's dynamic batter Danielle Wyatt has joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Women's team for the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 season.
This follows a successful trade from UP Warriorz (UPW). Initially, UPW acquired Wyatt during the auction for INR 30 lakhs. She will now move to RCB at the same fee ahead of the upcoming season.

Wyatt's extensive experience is a significant asset for RCB. She has played 164 T20 Internationals (T20Is) for England, making her the most capped English player in this format. Her presence is expected to bolster RCB's batting lineup significantly.
The 33-year-old didn't play a single match for UP Warriorz and will be hoping for her first taste of WPL with RCB Women next year. She has been a prolific player across formats and the WPL champions have high expectations.
RCB's management expressed confidence in Wyatt's abilities and potential impact on the team. As preparations for the WPL 2025 season intensify, all eyes are on how Wyatt will fit into RCB's setup. Her track record suggests she will be a key player in their pursuit of success.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru women, who are captained by Smriti Mandhana, won the WPL title in 2024 after a dismal outing in the inaugural season in 2023.
"Danielle is a game-changer and a phenomenal athlete," said Smriti Mandhana, Captain, Royal Challengers Bengaluru. "Her skills and competitive spirit align perfectly with our team's vision. We are excited to welcome her to the RCB and look forward to the energy she will bring to the squad", she added.
