RCB WPL 2025 Playoff Qualification Scenario: Reigning champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered a dent in their title defence hopes following their winless run at home - four straight defeats at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
After winning their opening two matches of the Women's Premier League season 3 in Vadodara, Smriti Mandhana's side has lost four matches in a row at home, and as a result dropped from the top of the standings to the fourth spot.

Having secured incredible wins over Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians at the Kotambi Stadium last month despite being hit by injury at the start of the season, RCB once again emerged as one of the favourites. However, a week and a half later, they find themselves fighting to stay alive in the tournament.
RCB, who won three of five matches in their own backyard last season enroute to their first-ever title win, opened this season's campaign at home with a four-wicket loss to Mumbai Indians followed by a super over loss to UP Warriorz.
The Bengaluru-based side then suffered a defeat to bottom-placed side Gujarat Giants as the batting failed, while they recently lost by 9 wickets against Delhi Capitals, who became the first team to book their playoff berth this season with the win.
Despite the four straight defeats, RCB are still mathematically alive in the WPL 2025 playoff race. But face an uphill task with Mumbai Indians, UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants also doing battle for the remaining two spots. How can RCB qualify? Here is a look at the RCB Playoff qualification scenario:
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will first of all need to win their remaining two matches against UP Warriorz on March 8 at the BRSABV Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, and against Mumbai Indians at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on March 11.
However, even winning those two games in hand also don't guarantee RCB a spot in the top three. While they will get to eight points by winning those two matches, the other three teams also could end up on the same points, bringing Net Run Rate (NRR) into play. As it stands, RCB has the second worst NRR.
RCB will not only want to win their remaining two matches, but they will want other results to go their way. Royal Challengers will want Delhi Capitals to do them a favour when they face Gujarat Giants.
With Mumbai Indians already on six points, RCB will need UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants lose two of their remaining three matches. RCB will still need to get the better of UPW and MI to ensure they are on eight points, and then get the calculators out. Here is RCB's scenarios:
