"Richards is my idol" Sachin

Kolkata, Nov 28 (UNI) For little master Sachin Tendulkar it was a trip down to the memory lane encountering among others his idol Vivian Richards.

Sachin Tendulkar went to inaugurate a photo exhibition where his different moods were captured by lenseman Suman Chatterjee.

Among other photos was one showing him playing with Sir Viv.

Remembering the moments Sachin said, ''Vivian Richards had always been my idol. He is one of the best West Indian greats. Though I never played him in international cricket I had the opportunity of playing against him in county cricket.'' ''While Sir Richards played for Glamorgan, I played for Yorkshire'', he said. Then he saw another photo in which he was playing cricket in the street before his house. '' This is the best place to play cricket. I really enjoy playing on the streets before my house. It is a great opportunity to meet my pals. In fact before coming to Kolkata I played on the street near my house''.

Next Sachin stopped before a snap capturing him and Anjali walking together just after their marriage. '' This was the very special moment for me we were then just married and I savour this memory'', said the master blaster to his friend and colleague Yuvraj Singh.
