Rinku Singh is Baap or Bachha? KKR batter gets ultimate verdict from Shah Rukh Khan

Fairytales don't come better than the story of Rinku Singh and his amazing rise. The KKR batter has had a steady yet assured rise from poverty and now he is one of the most talked about name in Indian cricket.

Rinku had a stellar IPL 2023 season with Kolkata Knight Riders. The batter scored 474 runs in the IPL season and was the highest run-getter for KKR. He was instrumental in their successes and perhaps provided the moment of IPL in a match against Gujarat Titans.

His name will be etched in the IPL folklore for a stunning batting display against the Titans, where he hit five consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal to give KKR a jaw-dropping victory.

Since then, the player has seen things turn around for him big time and has earned a plethora of accolades across the country and beyond.

And KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan also seems in awe of the Southpaw. The popular Bollywood Actor is a mainstay with the Knight Riders since its inception and even he seems to be a fan of the Aligarh-born.

Recently, Shah Rukh Khan took part in a Q&A session with his fans on Twitter. During the session, a fan asked the KKR owner to describe Rinku Singh in one word.

"#AskSRK One word about KKR KA BACCHAAAAA Rinku Singh?" the fan asked.

But the answer from the veteran actor was hilarious and exerted deep admiration for the player at the same time.

"Rinku is Baapppp!! Not bacha a!!" Shah Rukh Khan replied.

The KKR player, who plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket, has been tipped to make it to the Indian squad soon. The southpaw looks poised to be part of the India T20I squad which faces West Indies.

India will be up against the Caribbeans in an all-format series which starts from July 11. The 5 T20I matches will be the final assignment following 2 Tests and 3 ODIs. Rinku, meanwhile, is included in the Central Zone squad for the upcoming Duleep Trophy.
