India cricketer Rinku Singh recently had his engagement with Priya Saroj, an established politician and lawyer.

The couple's engagement ceremony witnessed many top dignitaries as it was a star-studded affair attended by prominent figures such as Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, actress Jaya Bachchan, and cricketer Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Rinku shared his joy on Instagram, writing, "This day has been in our hearts for so long - almost three years - and the wait was worth every second. Engaged - with full hearts and a forever to go."

Although they were set to marry in November this year, a recent report indicates the wedding has now been postponed. A report from Amar Ujala has claimed Rinku's marriage event, which was scheduled to take place in November, has now been deferred to a latter date.

The much-anticipated wedding of Indian cricketer Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj, originally scheduled for November 19, 2025, has been postponed. The couple, who got engaged in a grand ceremony in Lucknow on June 8, 2025, will now tie the knot in February 2026, with the exact date yet to be confirmed.

According to the report, Rinku Singh's cricketing commitments with the Indian national team in November have necessitated the delay. The report, citing family sources, highlights that Rinku's busy schedule as a professional cricketer has led to the rescheduling of the wedding.

The couple had initially reserved the Taj Hotel in Varanasi for their November wedding. However, due to Rinku's obligations, the booking has been shifted to late February 2026, though a specific date is still pending confirmation.

Who will India play at that Time?

India will be playing South Africa in a three-match Test series during November, in fact the 2nd Test starts from November 22 in Guwahati. But Rinku Singh is unlikely to be part of the Test squad, as he has not ever been a part for the red ball team. But, the player may have domestic duties with Uttar Pradesh, which can be a reason behind his postponement. Also, after the Test series, India will in 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is against the Proteas, another reason which may have prompted the India star to delay his wedding.
