Wishes poured in from the country's cricket fraternity as star India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant turned 27 on Friday (October 4). From former India cricketers to current stars and IPL teams sent their birthday wishes to the comeback king.
Pant, who suffered a near-fatal car crash in December 2022, made a triumphant return to cricket earlier this year, starting with the IPL followed by first international outing after the injury lay-off in the T20 World Cup 2024.

The dynamic wicketkeeper-batter later marked a return to the Test cricket arena with a century last month against Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. As he celebrates his 27th birthday, here is a look at some of the wishes from the cricket world:
Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh took to social media to send his wishes to Pant in a unique way as he labelled the wicketkeeper-batter as the comeback king and asked him to remain his fearless self.
"Happy birthday to the comeback king 👑 @RishabhPant17 🎂 Work hard and stay your fearless self! Hope the year ahead is one of fulfilment. God bless always," Yuvraj posted on X.
Former India captain and Delhi Capitals director of cricket Sourav Ganguly also sent his wishes to the DC captain with a post on X that said, "Wish Rishabh pant @RishabhPant17 a very happy birthday ..god bless him with a long and healthy life.."
Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal as well as the Board of Control for Cricket in India, and IPL franchises also sent their wishes to the Indian wicketkeeper-batter via their respective social handles.
While Chahal wished his teammate "a Pant-astic birthday", BCCI and the others highlighted some of Pant's memorable knocks and his outstanding stats as well as knocks, including the one at Gabba in Brisbane.
IPL teams Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad wished Pant on his birthday via their official social handles, by outline the character of the Indian wicketkeeper-batter.
In 142 international matches across formats, Pant has amassed a total of 4512 runs, including 7 centuries, of which 6 have come in the longest format or what one would say his favourite format of the game.
