Rishabh Pant video of batting in a practice match reportedly held at JSW ground in Vijaynagar, Karnataka, has gone viral and brought massive smiles on the faces of millions of Indian cricket team fans.
In the video posted by Delhi Capitals, the southpaw can be seen entering the small ground amid huge cheer from a handful of spectators present at the venue. The wicketkeeper-batter looked at ease with his footwork while driving a ball on the off-side and then launching a six over deep cover.

"Video quality: 144p, Emotions in our eyes: 1080p @rishabpant spent #IndependenceDay on the field and this feels dreamy," Delhi Capitals captioned the video.
This is the first occasion, the Delhi Capitals (DC) captain batted in front of a public gathering after the life-threatening car crash on the night of December 30. The fatal accident led to several severe injuries and burns on his body. The car had immediately caught fire after colliding in the road divider.
After undergoing a series of surgeries, Pant reported at the NCA in Bengaluru and has since been training hard to make an India comeback. His hard work and belief has seen him make recovery faster than expected.
Until May, Rishabh Pant was seeking help of crutches to walk. Just two months later, Pant has started to bat and keep wickets. A recent report had revealed that Rishabh Pant was now facing 140 kmph deliveries after initially just taking throwdowns.
Fans were desperately waiting to watch him bat in one of those net sessions and the viral video post Independence Day 2023 has raised the tempo of Pant's comeback anticipation amid fans.
Despite Pant starting to bat again, he is all but ruled out of India's World Cup 2023 campaign. Regaining a full match fitness to play an international 50-over per side game (with wicket-keeping duties) would take a bit more. Doctors have called his speedy recovery "magical" and chances are that he would make his India comeback with the Test series against England in January 2024.
"Once you keep growing older, you stop loving the game. One of the reasons is that there is a lot of pressure, you want to excel in life and do this and that. But wo enjoyment nahi miss karna hai life mein (Don't miss the enjoyment in life)," Pant can be heard saying in a video posted by Delhi Capitals on Wednesday.
