Rishabh Pant has made a successful return to competitive cricket in IPL 2024, and the Delhi Capitals skipper will look to carry on the form against Mumbai Indians on Sunday (April 7) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Pant, who missed action for over a year following a near-fatal car crash, has scored two fifties in four innings so far in IPL 2024, playing a crucial knock in DC's only win against Chennai Super Kings.

The 26-year-old made scores of 18 off 13 and 28 off 26 in his first two matches against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals respectively since making his return from multiple injuries before playing some swift knocks and looked at his best in the recent two innings.
The wicketkeeper-batter, who could be part of the Indian T20 World Cup squad, scored a 32-ball 51 in DC's win against CSK and followed that with a 25-ball 55 in the defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders.
The southpaw will now look to carry on that run-scoring form in the match against MI. Pant also has a decent record against the five-time champions, averaging close to 30 in his 14 appearances. Now, let's take a look at his stats vs MI in IPL:
An 18-year-old Pant was bought by the Delhi Capitals for Rs 1.90 Crore on the back of the U19 World Cup that year. He announced his arrival in the IPL in just his third innings, smashing 69 off 40 balls against now defunct Gujarat Lions in 2016.
While he didn't get many runs in the first three innings against MI after two ducks and a knock of 23, Pant since then made 3 fifties, four 20 plus scores and four single digit scores against the Mumbai Indians in IPL.
Overall, Pant has scored 2990 runs, including 1 hundred and 17 fifties in 101 innings at a strike rate of 148.46. Against MI, Pant has aggregated 372 runs, including 3 fifties, in 14 innings at a strike rate of 139.84 against the Mumbai-based side in IPL. Here is a look at Pant's stats vs MI:
