Robin Uthappa to Lead India Against Pakistan in Hong Kong Sixes 2024 Kickoff

Robin Uthappa has expressed his excitement about captaining the Indian team in the highly anticipated Hong Kong Sixes 2024, set to kick off on November 1. The Indian squad, led by the seasoned right-handed batter, will face arch-rivals Pakistan in their first match.

Uthappa shared his enthusiasm, saying, "I'm very excited to be a part of the Hong Kong Sixes 2024, and it's an honor to lead the Indian team. Some great cricketing action is coming your way on November 1, 2 & 3."

Joining Uthappa in the Indian team are experienced players Kedar Jadhav, Manoj Tiwary, Stuart Binny, Shreevats Goswami, Bharat Chipli, and Shahbaz Nadeem. Chipli and Goswami both conveyed their enthusiasm for representing India in this dynamic format.

The tournament will be held at the Tin Kwong Road Cricket Ground, and will mark the return of the Hong Kong Sixes after a seven-year hiatus. Featuring 12 teams, the event will showcase six-a-side cricket matches, with hosts Hong Kong taking on South Africa in the opening game.

On Day 1, fans can also look forward to the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match. Hong Kong captain Nizakhat Khan encouraged local fans to get excited, saying, "Get ready, Hong Kong cricket fans, as Hong Kong Sixes is back after seven years. The competition will be held from November 1 to November 3."

For those looking to catch the action live, Star Sports and Fancode will be broadcasting all the matches, beginning at 8:15 AM (Hong Kong Time) and 5:45 AM (IST).
