Rohit Sharma Applauds 14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi After Record-Breaking IPL Century

On April 28, cricket fans witnessed a historic moment as 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi produced one of the most sensational knocks in IPL history.

Playing for Rajasthan Royals, the teenage sensation smashed a breathtaking 101 off just 37 balls against Gujarat Titans, leading his team to a dominant 8-wicket victory with 27 balls to spare at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Suryavanshi's explosive innings was packed with pure entertainment - seven boundaries and a staggering eleven sixes - as he raced to his century in just 35 deliveries. In doing so, he not only became the youngest-ever player to score a hundred in both IPL and T20 cricket history but also set the record for the fastest IPL century by an Indian.

His 35-ball milestone now stands second overall in the league's history, just behind Chris Gayle's iconic 30-ball ton in 2013.

The cricketing world was quick to take notice, and none other than Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma expressed his admiration for the young star. Rohit, who is known for his elegant stroke play and keen eye for talent, took to Instagram to celebrate Vaibhav's feat. He shared a picture of Suryavanshi raising his bat after reaching the century and added a simple but powerful caption: "Class."

Receiving such high praise from the Indian skipper is a huge boost for the 14-year-old, who is already being hailed as one of the brightest prospects for the future of Indian cricket. Rohit's endorsement could well accelerate Vaibhav's journey toward an India call-up in the years to come.

Vaibhav's fearless approach and stunning composure at such a young age have set him apart from many. His incredible knock against a quality Gujarat Titans bowling attack has now firmly established him as a player to watch out for in the coming seasons.

With cricketing legends and the national captain acknowledging his talent, Vaibhav Suryavanshi's journey has only just begun - but the signs already point towards something truly special.
