Rohit Sharma blasted by fans for vacation pictures after WTC final defeat: 'Being this much shameless'

Fans slammed Rohit Sharma for posting vacation pictures with family days after losing the final of the World Test Championship (WTC final) by 209 runs against Australia at The Oval in London.

Rohit shared pictures with his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira on Thursday. In the picture, the Indian team captain can be seen donning a hat and a printed shirt.

"Captaincy aise karo ki 1.4 billion logo ka dil dukh jaye," a fan commented on the post.

A lot was expected from the India team but they crashed to a 209-run defeat after getting bundled out for 234 in the second innings. Earlier, in the match, they allowed Australia to pile up 469 runs after asking them to bat first.

The Indian top order failed on both the occasions. Rohit Sharma's poor run in the ICC knockout matches also continued. He scored 15 runs in the first innings and threw away his wicket after scoring 43 in the second innings. With Day 4 nearing to an end, Rohit played an uncalled for sweep shot of Nathan Lyon only to get trapped in front of the stump.

Rohit struggled for runs in the IPL 2023 as well. Many had suggested him to take a break and prepare for the WTC final, however, the Mumbai Indians captain, played all the 16 matches for his side.

Further, since Rohit took over the captaincy from Virat Kohli, India have lost the Asia Cup 2022, T20 World Cup 2022 and the WTC Final 2023 now.

Here's how fans have reacted to Rohit Sharma's picture after India WTC final defeat
