IPL 2023: Rohit Sharma Becomes Fourth Player To Complete 6000 IPL Runs, Check Full List

IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians opener Rohit Sharma on Tuesday became the fourth player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to complete 6000 runs. He is the third Indian player after Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan to achieve the feat.

David Warner, who is leading Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2023, is the only overseas player to score 6000 runs in the IPL which is into its sixteenth edition. Rohit achieved the milestone with a pull shot for a four off Washington Sundar in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

David Warner: 6109 in 167 matches

MS Dhoni is the only active player to have scored more than 5000 runs in the IPL. He has scored 5037 runs at an average of 39.35 and a strike rate of 135.76 in 239 matches. Suresh Raina and AB de Villiers are the only other two players to have scored over 5000 runs in the league.

Rohit gave visitors Mumbai a flying start at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad after being asked to bat first. He smashed as many as six fours during his 18-ball stay for 18 runs. He forged a 41 run partnership off 28 balls with his opening partner Ishan Kishan.

The right-hand batter was dismissed by T Nataraja in the fifth over of the match. Mumbai Indians have won their last two matches after losing their opening two games of the IPL 2023. The five-time champions are placed eighth in the 10-team IPL 2023 table.

Mumbai will be pushed to ninth spot if they lose this match against SRH.
