Rohit Sharma, the former Indian captain, will be one of the main batsmen for the Mumbai Indians, who are eying a sixth IPL title. Debuting in 2008 for the Deccan Chargers, Rohit played his first match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. Rohit transitioned into the Mumbai Indian's side in 2011 and subsequently led them to five IPL titles until 2024, when it was handed over to Hardik Pandya.
The hitman had a disappointing campaign in the last season of the IPL and struggled in the opening few games. Although the hitman managed to find his true chord, scoring a couple of half-centuries. But overall, it was a hot and cold form for the former Indian captain. However, in IPL 2026, the hitman will be looking to bounce back strongly and lead from the front with consistent performances.

The right-hander will begin the new season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against his favourite opponents, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in front of a packed crowd at the Wankhede Stadium.
