Aamir Khan, who was the captain named 'Bhuvan' in the reel, was replaced with Rohit Sharma. But not just that fan, both India cricket's emerging sensation Sarfaraz Khan believes the same as well. While speaking on the India captain ahead of the Bangladesh Tests, Sarfaraz spoke highly and compared Rohit's leadership skills with Lagaan's Amir Khan.

"He's very different, makes you comfortable, and is like an elder brother to us. I enjoy playing with him. He never treats you like a junior. He's a positive guy. The way he speaks, it boosts your confidence," Sarfaraz Khan told JioCinema.

"Lagaan is my favourite movie. In that, the way Aamir Khan assembles his team, Rohit bhai, reminds me of that. For me, he's Lagaan's Aamir Khan. It feels like he's part of your family," the young Mumbai player added.

Rohit's antics off the field and his camaraderie with the youngsters are well known and have been admirable. The way the India captain mingles with the newcomers and jokes with them aids in settling down the nerves.

India will be up against Bangladesh in a two-match Test series which starts in Chennai from September 19. Sarfaraz Khan, who is part of the team, had a decent debut series against England earlier this year, where he scored 200 runs with an average of 50 in three Test matches. Rishabh Pant is also set to return to the Test fold for the first time since his accident in 2022. Along with that, left-arm pacer Yash Dayal has been called up to the Indian team for the first Test match.
