Before the World Cup match against Pakistan, Rohit claimed in an ICC video that the things he had done earlier had strengthened his mental fortitude and enabled him to now conquer anything.

Nothing in life is impossible, the Indian captain continued.

"I've spoken numerous times how disappointing it was for me to be left out of the 2011 World Cup, but I really don't want to dwell on it too much given I have a significant role to play in this World Cup. I am now mentally stronger as a result of the things I have done, and I am capable of overcoming any obstacle in life. Nothing in life is insurmountable; if you have faith in it and the drive to move forward, you can make it happen "stated Rohit Sharma.

Nobody anticipated Rohit becoming a captain, according to him. "Everyone aspires to join the squad and eventually serve as captain... We all know that things can change very quickly, so nobody ever imagined that I would be a captain one day. Understanding players is crucial when it comes to managing them. Putting the person and their hatred first. With a team squad, everyone matters rather than just one or two people, "Richard emphasised.

Hardik Pandya lavished praise on Rohit and noted that the 36-year-old has been exceptional in supporting and providing opportunities for the youngsters.

"When he arrived, he has supported many of the team's players, and I think we can all see the results at this point. Rohit has been exceptional in providing them with numerous opportunities "said Hardik Pandya.

Moreover, Rohit stated that one of his goals for India is to win the ODI World Cup in 2023. Rohit Sharma said, "I think good things come to good people, and sitting here today to bring beautiful honour for our wonderful country.
