Navdeep Singh, who won gold in Paris Paralympics 2024 in the javelin throw event, has picked India captain Rohit Sharma as his favourite cricketer. The 23-year-old spilled Rohit Sharma's name after he was asked to pick one between Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni.
"Dhoni waale fan ho ya Virat waale fan ho (Are you a Dhoni fan or Virat fan?)," Shubhankar Mishra asked on his YouTube Channel. The 23-year-old wasted no time and answered Rohit Sharma.

Navdeep Singh won gold in the F41 classification of javelin throw at the Paris Paralympic Games, however that's not the only reason for his sudden rise in fame. The Haryana-born 4-feet-4-inch-tall athlete hurled expletives to pump himself at the event, and one particular clip went viral on social media.
Comparisons with Indian cricket star Virat Kohli were soon drawn. Notably, Kohli is also known for his aggression and does not filter his words while trying to give his best on the field. Interestingly, Navdeep Singh also has a Delhi connection as he has completed his graduation from the national capital.
However, Navdeep Singh picked Rohit Sharma as his favourite cricketer, saying he shows what he actually is even on the camera.
"People show themselves nice in front of the camera, but he is all natural," Navdeep Singh said when the host of the podcast said that Rohit Sharma also hurls expletives in a fun way.
Further, Navdeep Singh also said that he was aware about the viral 'Thala for a reason trend' started by MS Dhoni fans. The trend which went viral this year, revolves around Dhoni's jersey number 7.
"We got seven gold medals in Paris, Thala for a reason (laughs). Saat samundar se (they came from seven oceans away), Thala for a reason, everything is seven, Thala for a season. 47.32 - Why is a seven there? Thala for a reason," he said.
Navdeep Singh recently met PM Narendra Modi and presented him with a cap. The Prime Minister sat on the floor to ensure that the para-athlete could comfortably place the cap on his head. Navdeep also took an autograph from PM Modi on his throwing left arm.
