India captain Rohit Sharma has etched his name into another piece of prestigious milestone in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand.
The India skipper provided the team a magnificent start in the run chase as he got to his half-century in 41 deliveries.

India are chasing a target of 252 runs against the Kiwis in Dubai to win the Champions Trophy 2025, and along with Shubman Gill, the pair has provided a fantastic start. The Indian team are 86 without loss after 14 overs.
With his half-century in the final against New Zealand, Rohit Sharma has reached a prestigious milestone in ODI cricket.
Rohit has now become only the 5th Indian batter to have 90 or more 50+ scores in ODI cricket. Rohit's fifty in the final was his 58th, and along with 32 centuries, the India skipper now is a part of the 90+ group.
Apart from Rohit Sharma, only Sourav Ganguly (93), Rahul Dravid (94), Virat Kohli (125) and Sachin Tendulkar (145) have more fifty plus scores for India in the ODIs.
New Zealand, batting first in the final, scored 251 for 7 in their full quota of fifty overs. Daryl Mitchell scored 63 runs while Michael Bracewell also scored an unbeaten 53 runs. For India, Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets each.
