Rohit Sharma's picture in KKR dressing room sets Twitter on fire: 'Sixth trophy as captain loading'

Rohit Sharma was seen sitting in the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) dressing room as rain delayed the start of Match 60 of IPL 2024. As per the rumour mills, the former Mumbai Indians captain could leave the franchise ahead of the mega auction.

The 36-year-old, who led Mumbai Indians to five IPL trophies, was unceremoniously removed as the Mumbai Indians captain ahead of the IPL 2024. Mumbai Indians fans protested against the move, and booed new captain Hardik Pandya on several occasions in the stadiums around India.

A video of Rohit Sharma having a chat with KKR assistant coach during the training session at the Eden Gardens also went viral on social media. Fans have decoded the video and claimed that Rohit Sharma is hinting towards leaving Mumbai Indians. Notably, IPL mega auction will be held ahead of the next season.

"Ek ek cheez change ho raha hai... (Things are changing one by one). Woh unke upar hai, main ye sab pe dhyaan nahi data... (It depends on them, I don't care about that)," Rohit could be heard saying to Nayar amid chants of his name in the background.

"Jo bhi hai woh mera ghar hai bhai, woh temple jo hai na maine banwaya hai. (Whatever it is, that's my home. I have built the temple)," he further said.

Although the final part of the clip is unclear, the 36-year-old finishes with, "Bhai mera kya hai, mera toh last hai (Anyways, this is my last)."

Now the pictures of Rohit Sharma in KKR dressing room has added fuel to the fire. In an old interview, Rohit Sharma had told CNBC TV18 that he would like to lead KKR if not Mumbai Indians. He had called Eden Gardens his favourite ground.

The likes of Manish Pandey, Venkatesh Iyer, Varun Chakravarthy and Nayar could be seen listening to Rohit carefully in the viral picture. Here's how fans reacted to Rohit Sharma's viral picture in the KKR dressing room.
