Rohit Sharma, nicknamed the Hitman, is the tenth highest run-getter in One Day Internationals, having crossed the 11,000 runs milestone in the year 2025 during the Champions Trophy tournament in UAE.
Rohit joined the elite club as the second fastest to reach 11000 runs in ODIs and also became the fourth Indian to join the elusive club after Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and current teammate Virat Kohli.

The 37-year-old veteran batter is third in the list for most centuries in the 50-over game with 32 hundreds to his name. He follows compatriots Kohli and Tendulkar in the esteemed list of centurions in ODIs.
While he has scored 32 hundreds, Rohit has only managed to reach the three-figure mark twice against New Zealand in his ODI career. The Indian skipper holds the record for most sixes in international cricket with 634 sixes and is only 10 shy of the record for most maximums in ODIs.
In over 272 ODI appearances, Rohit has amassed nearly 11100 runs, including 32 centuries and 57 half centuries in the format. Australia, Sri Lanka, West Indies and New Zealand are some of his favourite opponents.
Speaking of New Zealand, Rohit has had a mixed run against Black Caps in the ODI format, scoring close to 1000 runs in his 30 appearances against the Kiwis. He had to wait until his sixth innings to score a fifty versus New Zealand in the 50-over game.
In 30 ODI matches against New Zealand, Rohit has scored a total of 997 runs, including 2 hundreds and 5 fifties, at an average of 36.92. His best score against the Kiwis is 147, which happens to be his first century against New Zealand, coming back in 2017 at Kanpur.
The Hitman had to wait for at least 18 innings to score his first ton against New Zealand in ODIs. After his maiden century against the Kiwis, Rohit managed to score two more fifties and a hundred.
