Rohit Sharma on Thursday scripted history on his return to T20I cricket after a gap of 14 months. The 36-year-old became the first men's cricketer to win 100 T20I matches. He achieved the feat after India defeated Afghanistan by six wickets in the first T20I in Mohali.
The star opener got run out for a duck after a terrible mix-up with his opening partner Shubman Gill but ended up becoming only the fourth cricketer (men and women) to be part of 100 T20I wins.

Only England’s Danni Wyatt (111) has won more T20I matches than Rohit Sharma. Australia Women's captain Alyssa Healy and all-rounder Elysse Perry (100) have also been part of 100 T20I wins each.
Rohit Sharma has a handy lead in the category in men's cricket. Shoaib Malik of Pakistan has featured in 86 T20I wins, while former India captain Virat Kohli has been part of India's 73 T20I wins. Malik and Kohli are second and third respectively in the list of players with most wins in T20I cricket.
India defeated Afghanistan by six wickets in the first T20I at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Thursday, January 11.
