Rohit Sharma-Smriti Mandhana's Hilarious 'Hobby' Interaction From BCCI Awards Goes Viral, Leave Everyone In Splits : WATCH

Rohit Sharma had the audience in splits at the BCCI Awards with his trademark humor during an engaging interaction with star batter Smriti Mandhana.

When Mandhana asked Rohit about a hobby his teammates often tease him for, the skipper responded with a hilarious remark that left everyone laughing.

"My teammates tease me for forgetting. Forgetting is not a hobby. They say I forgot my wallet, I forget my passport which is not true. That was two decades back," Rohit quipped, brushing off the playful claims about his forgetfulness.

"We play cricket in the house. It is just for fun. Nothing to do with it. She comes back from school late and she has got classes. Just before she goes for class, we play for fun. She likes batting, just like anyone who starts playing cricket," Rohit also revealed about daughter Samaira.

On the professional front, he is gearing up for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England. However, the bigger focus remains on the ICC Champions Trophy, where India aims to continue their strong run after winning the T20 World Cup. Rohit emphasized the team's readiness for the challenge ahead.

"ICC trophy comes every year now. There is no time to take the pedal off the gas. You have to be ready for the challenge. We won the T20 World Cup and now look forward to the next one. Lot of guys are playing domestic cricket, lots of them are playing international cricket as well," the captain said.

The Men in Blue have been placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh. India will kick off their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20, followed by a high-octane clash against Pakistan on February 23, and their final group-stage game against New Zealand on March 2. A minimum of two wins from these three matches will secure their spot in the semifinals.

All of the Rohit Sharma-led matches will be held in Dubai, following the Pakistan Cricket Board's agreement to the hybrid model. With the Champions Trophy on the horizon, Rohit and his squad are fully focused on adding another ICC trophy to their cabinet.
