A debacle down under in Australia has landed the Indian cricketers in domestic cricket. As the Ranji Trophy's second phase resumes, it is set to be stars galore across the nation.

Indian cricket stalwarts including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and other key players are set to return to domestic cricket. This development comes after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued fresh guidelines emphasizing the importance of domestic cricket for all players, including international stars.
This marks the first time in several years that some of India's biggest names will be taking part in the prestigious domestic tournament. The decision is being hailed as a step in the right direction to bridge the gap between domestic and international cricket, providing younger players with an invaluable opportunity to learn from the very best.
A meeting which included head coach Gautam Gambhir, chief selector Ajit Agarkar - entrusted in players returning to first-class cricket. Since his arrival at the helm, Gambhir has always been vocal about domestic cricket's importance, and the players have also been sent a clear message that Ranji Trophy will be the cornerstone for a player's inclusion in the Indian team for the upcoming assignments.
Previously, the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan faced BCCI's wrath after undermining domestic cricket. The duo, since have rectified themselves and have taken part for their respective associations across all domestic formats.
The Ranji Trophy's second phase is set to start from January 23. A plethora of big names will be taking part in the tournament and here are who they may face in the final two rounds of the Ranji group stages.
Rohit Sharma is set to play for Mumbai. The India captain is likely to face Jammu & Kashmir and then Meghalaya in the last two matches.
Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant both have been included in the Delhi squad for the last two Ranji matches, with the latter tipped to captain the team. The duo will face Saurashtra and Railways in the last two matches.
KL Rahul, if he plays for Karnataka, will be facing Punjab and Haryana in the last two Ranji matches.
For Ravindra Jadeja, the final two Ranji matches will hand him an opportunity to showcase his might in domestic cricket. The all-rounder will face Delhi in the first match, followed by Assam.
Mohammed Siraj had a decent time in Australia and the fast bowler is likely to play for Hyderabad in the last two matches. If Siraj plays in Ranji Trophy, he will be up against Himachal Pradesh and Vidarbha respectively in the last two matches.
Jasprit Bumrah got injured in the final match of the BGT series and the star pace bowler won't take part in any of the Ranji Trophy matches.
Shubman Gill will be representing Punjab in Ranji Trophy for the final two group matches. The India batter had a torrid outing in Australia and will be hoping for a resurrection in form. Gill's Punjab will be up against Karnataka and Bengal respectively.
