India captain Rohit Sharma is gearing up for the Asia Cup 2023 by not just preparing in the nets but also by investing time on the spiritual side as well.
The 36-year-old, who was last seen leading India against West Indies in the ODI series, visited the Tirupati Balaji temple in Andhra Pradesh with his wife Ritika and daughter Samaira.

A video of the right-hand opener being escorted outside the holy temple has gone viral. Fans stormed to see the superstar batter who was accompanied by his wife and daughter. Here's the video.
Rohit will be leading the Indian team in the intercontinental event which will kick off from August 30 in Multan. India will play their first match against Pakistan on September 2 in Pallekele.
The tournament will be a major dress rehearsal for the Men in Blue ahead of their World Cup 2023 campaign. India are racing against time to fix their middle-order conundrum due to the uncertainty over the fitness of Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul.
India are in hunt of their first ICC trophy after failing to travel the distance in every major event since the 2011 World Cup. Rohit Sharma has gone on record in the past on ruing the chance of not making into the Indian squad in the home World Cup in 2011. The star batter is looking to win the coveted trophy in the twilight years of his career.
“Honestly, I have never won a (50 overs) World Cup, it’s a dream to win a World Cup and to be here fighting for it nothing makes me happier than that. You don’t get World Cups on a platter, you have to really work hard and that is what we have been doing all these years from 2011 till now we all are fighting for it,” Rohit has said ahead of the World Cup 2023.
