The captaincy saga of Mumbai Indians for IPL 2024 has taken a fresh turn as Rohit Sharma's wife Ritika Sajdeh has blasted on Instagram following Mark Boucher's explanation.
Rohit Sharma's captaincy stint at Mumbai Indians abruptly ended ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. Hardik Pandya was brought in from Gujarat Titans and the Indian all-rounder was subsequently handed the captaincy baton from the veteran.

There have been many uproars against the decision, but MI coach Mark Boucher explained the real reason behind the captaincy change on Monday. He said choosing Pandya over Rohit Sharma was a cricketing decision and he wanted to take off pressure from Rohit Sharma as an IPL captain.
"I think it was purely a cricketing decision. We saw the window period to get Hardik back as a player. For me it's a transition phase. A lot of people don't understand in India, people get quite emotional, but you know you take the emotions away from it," he said.
"I just thought speaking with the whole Mumbai Indians group maybe this is an opportunity for him to just step in for the last year or so and just go out there and actually enjoy it without the hype of being a captain. I mean, still gonna captain India. So that hype is gonna be there. But when he steps into the IPL, maybe just taking that extra bit of pressure from him as a captain, maybe we get the best out of Roadshow. And we seem playing with a nice, smiling space, spending a bit of time with this beautiful family that he's got," Boucher added.
"I think it's just more of a cricketing decision that was made, and I do think it is going to bring the best out of Rohit as a person and as a player. Just let him go out and enjoy and score some good runs," Boucher further said on the Smash Sports podcast.
Smash Sports uploaded a video of the interview and Rohit Sharma's wife Ritika Sajdeh had her say in the post. She commented, "So many things wrong with this".

Her comment on the post since has gone viral as people are finding ulterior motive behind the dismissal of Rohit Sharma as MI captain.
Sharma took over the captaincy in 2013 and has captained the Paltans to five IPL titles. He won the IPL in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020 with them.
