In the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023 final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India is set to face Australia led by Pat Cummins on November 19. A viral image from a school book shows a dedicated chapter on Indian captain Rohit Sharma, highlighting his impactful performance in the semi-final against New Zealand.

Rohit's aggressive batting contributed to India's formidable total of 397/4, with him scoring 47 off 29 deliveries and key contributions from Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer. India secured a 70-run victory in the semi-final, with Mohammed Shami recording his best bowling figures of 7 for 57.

Rohit Sharma has amassed 550 runs in the tournament, becoming the second Indian batsman to score over 500 runs in two different ODI World Cup editions. He is also the first player in history to achieve this feat with a strike rate exceeding 120.

Australia earned their place in the final by defeating South Africa by three wickets in a tense semi-final at Eden Gardens. In that match, Travis Head top-scored with 62, and contributions from Steven Smith, Josh Inglis, Mitchell Starc, and captain Pat Cummins helped Australia chase down the target.

Cummins and Starc each took three wickets, while Josh Hazlewood played a significant role in reducing South Africa to 22/4 in 11.5 overs. Australia's impressive fielding complemented the bowlers, restricting South Africa to 212.
