"During his childhood, Rohit used to be friends with a watchman's son. When Rohit bought his first car, he made his friend his driver. And till date, he hasn't changed his driver. He has many friends but all of them are his old pals, not many new friends."
Lad also went on to share another incident which happened after Rohit became an India player.
"Rohit had a friend from Kolkata, Ajay Das. He used to live under my building. One day, his mother came and said, 'Sir, look how he is sleeping.' I saw Ajay was sleeping on the bed and Rohit slept on the floor. I said to let it go as Rohit was like this only. He has a lot of friends. But his friend circle remains the same as it was from the beginning," Lad shared.
