
Two-time runners-up Royal Challengers Bangalore will open their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 campaign at home against record champions Mumbai Indians on Sunday (April 2), the third matchday of the season.
RCB, led by Faf du Plessis, will play their first away match against two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the iconic Eden Gardens on Thursday (April 6). In total, they will play 14 fixtures in the league stage.
RCB have been drawn in IPL 2023 Group B alongside four-time winners Chennai Super Kings, 2016 champions Sunrisers Hyderabad, current holders Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings. The Bangalore-based franchise will face all the four teams in their Group once (either home or away).
Meanwhile they will face the team drawn in the other group - Group A twice (home and away). So, they will face MI, inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants and KKR twice.
RCB will face southern rivals CSK at home on April 17 and SRH away on May 18. They will face PBKS away on April 20 and defending champions GT in their final league stage match on May 21.
Royal Challengers Bangalore will travel to Mumbai to face five-time champions MI in the reverse fixture on May 9 and host KKR on April 26. RCB will face LSG at home on April 10 and away on May 1 at BRABV Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
RCB will host Delhi Capitals on April and travel to Delhi to face DC at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 6. They will play three of their matches in the afternoon (3:30 PM) and 11 matches in the evening (7:30 PM).
RCB will play their home matches at the M Chinaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB will be playing at their home venue for the first time since IPL 2019 due to COVID pandemic restrictions in the past three seasons.
