Jaipur, May 4: Rajasthan Royals (RR) will host defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) in match 48 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday (May 5).
Sanju Samson-led RR will look to bounce back from a defeat in their last outing against Mumbai Indians in Mumbai, while Hardik Pandya-led GT will also look to do the same having suffered a loss to Delhi Capitals at home in Ahmedabad.

In the recent outing, RR suffered a 6-wicket loss to MI in a high-scoring contest at the Wankhede Stadium. Earlier, the inaugural champions had registered wins over GT, Sunrisers Hyderabad, DC and twice against Chennai Super Kings.
The last season runners up have also suffered defeats to MI, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants. In nine matches, RR have secured 10 points, having won 5 and lost 4.
Table-toppers GT, on the other hand, suffered a 5-run loss DC in their recent encounter. Earlier, the reigning champions had suffered defeats to RR and Kolkata Knight Riders, but had wins in the reverse fixtures over KKR and DC along with victories over MI, LSG, PBKS and CSK.
This will be the fifth meeting between the two sides in IPL. This will also be the first meeting between the two sides at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, where GT will playing for the very first time.
