Rajasthan Royals have kept their core team ahead of the IPL 2024 auction as they announced their retention list.
The inaugural IPL champions will be hoping for a better outing next year as they aim to enter the playoffs again. The Royals were beaten finalists in 2022, the only time they have reached the Final after the first season in 2008.

Royals traded Avesh Khan from Lucknow Super Giants and have kept faith in almost all of their front-line Indian players. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Sandeep Sharma all are retained and Sanju Samson looks set to lead them again.
Riyan Parag, who is having a stellar domestic season with Assam, won't have to worry about the auction as he remains in the squad. They have the Indian pace trio of Navdeep Saini, Kuldeep Sen and Prasidh Krishna, who will be pivotal in the coming season.
The biggest talking point has come in their release list as the Royals let go of Jason Holder. The lanky all-rounder from West Indies is joined with Joe Root and Obed McCoy. Murugan Ashwin, KC Cariappa, K.M. Asif are among the Indian players who have been shown the exit door.
