The Royals have announced their retentions ahead of the IPL 2026 season, while there have a number of departures and arrivals.

The most notable development is a blockbuster trade with Chennai Super Kings involving key players Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja.
Sanju Samson, formerly a central figure and captain for the Rajasthan Royals, has been traded to Chennai Super Kings. In return, Rajasthan Royals have acquired Ravindra Jadeja, a senior all-rounder and former CSK captain, bringing his wealth of experience from over 250 IPL matches into their lineup. Additionally, Sam Curran is part of this trade deal, potentially joining Rajasthan Royals to strengthen their squad further.
