New Delhi, May 31: Delhi Police finally made their case against all arrested cricketers and bookies in IPL spot fixing case more stronger. Now, a player of Rajasthan Royals (RR) -- Siddharth Trivedi has become a witness against his three teammates and other bookies.
According to latest development in the fixing scandal, Trivedi would be produced in court as a prosecution witness. Delhi Police claimed that Ajit Chandila and other bookies had approached three more cricketers of Rajasthan Royals.
However, the three players had refused to accept the offers given by Chandila and bookies. Siddharth is one among the three cricketers who refused to accept bribe from bookies.
Trivedi, who represents Gujarat in Ranji Trophy, played 17 matches for RR in the recently concluded IPL 6. He had taken taking 12 wickets and had been a regular member of the RR team.
The right-arm medium pacer has also been a regular in the Challenger Trophy. Earlier many had suspected that many other players might have been approached by Chandila and Co. Now, Trivedi's move to become a whistle-blower in the case proved that IPL fixing scandal is scattered to a large extend.
