It has been two defeats in two for the Royals so far who need a desperate comeback in potentially Riyan Parag's final game as captain. On the other hand, Chennai also aim a swift return to winning ways after an embarrassing defeat in the Southern derby against RCB.

Riyan Parag is likely to captain the last match for Royals in the IPL 2025 as Sanju Samson looks set for another Impact Player role. For the CSK clash, Rahul Dravid and his management may make a few changes. Nitish Rana has made a poor start and may face an axe as Shubham Dubey maybe given a bigger role. RR can also try someone like Yudhvir Charak, who is handy with both ball and bat.

Among the overseas stars, they lack depth with just six foreign names and they are likely to continue with the same contingent from last match.

Chennai Super Kings

After the lackluster defeat against RCB, the Super Kings need to reshuffle their lineup. Both Rahul Tripathi and Deepak Hooda faced criticism in the last game and both have been underwhelming with the bat. This match may bring changes as one of them is likely to make away, most probably the latter.

Devon Conway has been another big miss and the New Zealand southpaw can come in place of Sam Curran. Vijay Shankar can be the replacement for Hooda to maintain the balance in the team. MS Dhoni came to bat very late on Friday and CSK may need him earlier for any telling impact.
