RR vs DC IPL 2023: Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 57 runs in match 11 of the IPL 2023 on Saturday in Guwahati. This was Delhi's third successful defeat. The side has now lost each of their first three matches.

Rajasthan Royals posted 199/4 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (60) and Jos Buttler (79) stitched a 98-run partnership off 51 balls for the first wicket. Shimron Hetmyer scored unbeaten 39 runs off 21 balls towards the end.

Pacer Mukes Kumar picked two wickets for Delhi, while Kuldeep Yadav and Rovman Powell picked a wicket each. In reply, 149/9 is all Delhi Capitals could manage. Captain David Warner top scored for the team with 65 runs off 55 balls.

Trent Boult and Yuzevndra Chahal picked three wickets apiece. Ravichandran Ashwin bowled four overs and picked two wickets by giving away just 25 runs. With the win, Rajasthan have toppled Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to occupy the top spot.

Yashasvi Jaiswal | Player of the Match: I have worked hard. Trying to express myself. Learning is important for me. Growing as a young player is important for me. In my mind, I was like if it is a loose ball I will hit it. I think everything I learn from Buttler. I try to see how he practises. I knew I can take on a few bowlers. I didn't know. Sanju bhai said 'koi baat nahin theek hai' (Sanju Samson said It is ok when he got to know about the no-ball which resulted when Jaiswal took the catch after being outside the circle.)

Sanju Samson | Winning captain: Almost everything went to plan. I think me not scoring runs didn't go plan (laughs). The way I play this format I take a few balls to settle in and then go out there and express myself. Those 40-50 runs at a quick rate with Jos going through with his business. My role in the team is very clear. Just got the feel I would take that kind of a catch. Last game when we played here, it was a swimming pool and we were not able to keep the ball dry. We will have to get used to wet balls. Yuzi and Ash bhai know how to do it with the wet ball. I think Ashwin is always looking at the batter. The ball being new was very crucial for us and Ash bhai got through two important overs.

David Warner | Losing captain: I'll give that back [Orange] cap in a heartbeat for a couple of wins. When you are chasing 200, you got to start well in the powerplay and unfortunately, once again we lost early wickets. Can't take the credit from how good a bowler Trent Boult is in the powerplay and he bowled extremely well. It was always going to be a challenge to come out here and chase 200 with early wickets in the powerplay. It is just about executing your skills and when you are getting out early like that; we had a couple of chop-ons last game. We are professional athletes, and have to go back in the nets. It's about executing, and hopefully we can regroup. It's always difficult when we are losing wickets at the other end. It is frustrating. I have been hitting a lot of the fielders of late, but I will keep going out there and back myself. 175-180 was par there.
