RR vs DC: Rajasthan Royals (RR) will lock horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ninth game of IPL 2024. The game will go all guns blazing on March 28, Thursday (7:30 PM IST) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

The inaugural IPL champions started their campaign with a 20-run win over Lucknow Super Giants at home. On the other side of the coin, DC lost their first game as they surrendered at the hands of Punjab Kings.

The Mohali-based franchise beat DC by four wickets. DC will be looking to open their account in the upcoming game but it won't be that easy and they will have their task cut out in the game in order to churn out a result in their favour.

Yashasvi Jaiswal: Yashasvi Jaiswal has been making waves with the bat for Rajasthan Royals in the last few seasons, albeit his breakthrough season came in IPL 2023, where he lit up the tournament by scoring 625 runs at an average of 48.08 including a century and 5 fifties. He got off to a scintillating start against Lucknow Super Giants in the last game of IPL 2024 wherein he mustered 24 off 12 balls including 3 fours and a six but was dismissed by Mohsin Khan. The 22-year-old will be eyeing to pile up plenty of runs in the upcoming game against DC.

2. Shai Hope: Shai Hope was sold to Delhi Capitals for INR 75 lakh at the IPL 2024 auction. The West Indies international made a pretty good impact with the bat, as he top-scored with 33 off 25 balls, laced with two fours and as many sixes in the last game against Punjab Kings. The right-hander who just started to get the hang of things in IPL will be looking forward to scoring plenty of runs for the team in the next game.

3. Sanju Samson: Sanju Samson has done exceptionally well as a captain and batsman for Rajasthan Royals in recent years. He guided the team to the finals in the 2022 season but lost to GT, which was RR's second final appearance since 2008. As a batter, he has led the batting attack by example, while also hitting ample sixes when it matters the most. In the last game against LSG, he scored an unbeaten 82 off 52 balls including 3 fours and 6 sixes. He is expected to play an anchor role with the bat against DC.

4. Rishabh Pant: DC captain Rishabh Pant made a comeback to cricket after spending nearly 15 months on the sidelines. The 26-year-old must be disappointed for failing to make a mark in the team's first game against PBKS, wherein he scored 18 off 13 balls including 2 fours. Nevertheless, he was seen practicing for a long time in the nets ahead of the RR clash and the left-hander looked in good nick. He must be raring to make an impact with the bat in the next game.
