In the ninth match of the Indian Premier League 2024, Rajasthan Royals will welcome Delhi Capitals at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday (March 28).
RR and DC had met each other on 27 occasions. The Royals got a slight edge over DC, as RR won 14 times while the Capitals did the same 13 times. In the last duel between these two, Rajasthan emerged victorious.

Both teams have quite balanced and star-studded bowling squads. The amount of diversity and expertise present in these two bowling units certainly makes this duel interesting.
The Royals pace unit will be led by Trent Boult, and he will be assisted by the likes of Nandre Burger, Sandeep Sharma, and Avesh Khan. Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal will spearhead the spin department of RR.
Delhi Capitals have bowlers Axar Patel, Mitchell Marsh, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Anrich Nortje, and Khaleel Ahmed in their arsenal. All of these DC bowlers have ample exposure in the IPL to handle any situation and control the fate of the match.
Yuzvendra Chahal: The Indian leg-spinner was the highest wicket-taker for the Royals in the last IPL with 21 wickets in 14 matches and also the highest wicket-taker in IPL history. His consistency in the IPL across the seasons got him 188 wickets in 146 matches. RR will expect him to continue his prowess.
Trent Boult: The Kiwi fast bowler is the only experienced veteran pacer in the RR squad. His ability to move the ball both ways led him to a successful career in limited-over cricket. In the last IPL, he bagged 13 wickets in 10 matches. He started his IPL 2024 campaign with two wickets against LSG. With 105 wickets in his IPL career, he is expected to deliver a fiery spell in the match against the Capitals.
Kuldeep Yadav: The Indian left-arm wrist-spinner has already proved himself in the IPL. He is the most successful left-arm wrist spinner in IPL history. In the last season, he bagged 10 wickets for DC. The 'Chinaman’ bowler will spearhead the DC spin unit.
Axar Patel: Axar Patel got 11 wickets in 14 matches in the last IPL. Patel also bagged 112 wickets in his IPL career with an economy rate of 7.24. The economic leg-arm spin-bowling of the Indian all-rounder is going to be vital for DC in their journey to the playoffs.
DC and RR have both failed to qualify for the playoffs in the last campaign of the IPL. In IPL 2024, RR began their journey with a victory over LSG, but DC had failed to do the same against PBKS. Hence, this match is expected to be interesting as both teams will try their best to climb up the point table to secure a spot for the playoffs.
