RR vs DC, IPL 2023: 4 Bowlers Who Will Take Most Wickets In Today's Match

RR vs DC: Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in match number eleven of IPL 2023 on Saturday. The match will be played at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati from 3:30 PM IST.

The same venue hosted Rajasthan's last match against Punjab Kings (PBKS). The high-scoring encounter saw RR falls five runs short of the 198-run target set by PBKS. Both the sides will be entering the match on the back of defeats . Delhi lost their match to Gujarat Titans (GT) by six wickets.

The track at Guwahati is again expected to be a batting heaven and the bowlers will have to be extraordinary to survive any massacre from the batters. In this article, let's have a look at four bowlers who can end up with the most wickets in the match.

Anirch Nortje: The raw pace of Nathan Ellis did wonders for Punjab Kings in their match at Guwahati. The pacer finished with four wickets in 30 runs and was adjudged Man of the Match for his stunning performance.

Delhi Capitals would expect the same from Nortje. He rattled the stumps of GT openers Wriddihiman Saha and Shubman Gill in his first IPL 2023 outing. Extra pace will surely come as handy on an extremely easy pitch to bat on offer.

Kuldeep Yadav: Being guileful as a spinner is also one trick to survive in Guwahati. Rajasthan Royals spinner Ravichandran Ashwin set a good example in the last match. He gave away just 25 runs in four overs and also picked a wicket.

In contrast his spin partner, Yuzvendra Chahal leaked as many as 50 runs for a wicket. Delhi's left-arm chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav will look to emulate Ashwin. The 28-year-old was the fifth-highest wicket-taker in the IPL 2022. He picked 21 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 19.95.

In the last match against GT, he gave away just 18 runs in three overs. This time around, Kuldeep would be aiming for wickets as well. A handful of southpaws in the RR batting line-up will also help the tweaker.

Ravichandran Ashwin: On a day when the likes of Trent Boult and Chahal leaked runs at 9.5 and 12.5 runs per over, Ashwin clean bowled Sikandar Raza and leaked just 25 runs in four overs.

Now with a match at the stadium already under his belt, Ashwin could be more threatening against his former side. The Delhi Capitals batting unit is under pressure and the modern day great is certain of trying to get under their skin. The first two matches have seen him pick two wickets at an economy of 6.50.

Trent Boult: After an ultra-impressive outing in the first match, the New Zealand left-arm pacer was smashed for 38 runs for no wicket in four overs. Boult is a bowler who comes back strongly after being pushed to the wall.

The match against Delhi would be the perfect opportunity for him to bounce back to his usual self. He has played eight wickets against Delhi and picked 11 wickets at an average of 20.18 and an economy of 7.40.
