In a thrilling encounter at Jaipur, young Riyan Parag's stunning unbeaten knock of 84 runs off just 45 balls led Rajasthan Royals (RR) to a remarkable 12-run triumph over Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL clash on Thursday.

Despite a shaky start that saw RR at 36 for 3 in the eighth over, Parag's sensational innings turned the tide as he single-handedly guided the home side to a challenging total of 185 for 5, embellished with seven fours and six sixes.

Parag's aggressive onslaught, particularly against veteran pacer Anrich Nortje in the final over, where he amassed 25 runs, propelled him to his highest T20 score and laid the foundation for RR's victory.

In response, DC's chase faltered as they could only manage 173 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. Despite a valiant effort from Tristan Stubbs (44 not out off 23 balls), DC fell short of the target. Notably, South African pacer Nandre Burger and spinner Yuzvendra Chahal contributed with two wickets each, aiding RR's cause.
