Rajasthan Royals will look to do the double over reigning champions Gujarat Titans when the two sides clash in match 48 of IPL 2023 on Friday (May 5) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Fourth-placed RR, who have won 5 of their 9 matches so far, will lock horns with Hardik Pandya's table-topping GT, who are the only team that has won 6 matches of 9 so far. RR is on 10 points along with four other teams, while GT are the only team on 12 points.

RR, who have won just one of their two home matches so far, will look to improve their home record and move a few spots on IPL 2023 points table. Now, we take a look at the form, head-to-head, match prediction and win probability of RR vs GT:
RR opened their season with a 72-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad, but faced a minor blip following 5-run loss to Punjab Kings in Guwahati. But last season's runners up soon responded with a 57-run win over Delhi Capitals in Guwahati in their third fixture.
The Royals then made it back-to-back away wins with 3-run victory over four-time champions Chennai Super Kings in Chennai and a 3-wicket win over defending champions Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad. But in the last four matches, they have managed to win just once.
While they did the double over CSK with a 32-run win, the Royals have suffered defeats by 10 runs to Lucknow Super Giants, by 7 runs to Royal Challengers Bangalore and by 6 wickets to Mumbai Indians in the most recent outing.
GT, on the other hand, opened their campaign with a 5-wicket win over CSK followed by a 6-wicket win over DC, but suffered a 3-wicket loss to Kolkata Knight Riders at home. GT, however, bounced back with a 6-wicket win over PBKS before the 3-wicket loss to RR in the reverse fixture.
The Ahmedabad-based side then responded with a three-match winning run - 7-run victory over LSG followed by 55-run win over MI and 7-wicket victory over KKR in the reverse fixture before suffering a 5-run loss to strugglers DC recently.
The two sides have clashed four times so far in the Indian Premier League as Gujarat Titans made their debut only last season in IPL 2022. In 2022, GT beat RR three times, including the final and the qualifier, while RR beat them once earlier this season.
As both teams head into the match on the back of defeats, there is no clear favourite in this contest. Even home advantage will not favour RR as they have won one and lost one at the venue so far. But the team that is defending has won the two matches in Jaipur so far this season.
So, if they get their combinations right and there is no dew factor, the team batting first will once again come out on top at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday (May 5).
Both RR and GT will have a 50 percent chance of victory when they face each other. But the team which responds well to the demoralising defeats will be at an advantage. GT have never had two defeats in a row. So, they may have the slight edge going into the contest.
