RR vs KKR IPL 2025 Awards: Full List of Winners, Player of Match, Captains Reaction From Post-Match Presentation

By MyKhel Staff

Quinton de Kock starred with an impressive fifty to power Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to a 7-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match 6 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 in Guwahati on Wednesday (March 26).

After spin duo Moeen Ali and Varun Chakravarthy restricted Royals to 151/9, De Kock smashed his first fifty in the purple and gold to help KKR open their account this season with a victory at the Baraspara Stadium.

It was a clean sweep from Quinton de Kock at the RR vs KKR awards ceremony

Put into bat, Royals lost Sanju Samson early, but stand-in skipper Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal upped the ante until Varun and Moeen combined to cause a mini collapse. Dhruv Jurel, however, played a handy knock to take RR past 150.

In response, De Kock lost partners Moeen and skipper Ajinkya Rahane, but the South African carried his bat through with an unbeaten 97 off 61 balls on a challenging surface to take KKR home with 15 balls to spare. KKR players dominated the awards. Here is a look at the list:

The post-match presentation, however, started with reaction from the losing skipper Riyan Parag and KKR all-rounder Moeen Ali before the KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane and the player of match Quinton de Kock concluded the ceremony. Here is what they said:

Losing captain, RR's Parag said, "170 was going to be a really good score, that's what we were aiming for. I personally rushed a little bit knowing the wicket here. Fell short by 20 runs. That was the plan, to get Quinny out early, but that didn't happen. So, we shifted to containing in the middle overs. He played really well, so kudos to him."

Winning captain, KKR's Rahane said, "Firstly, we bowled really well in the first six overs. The middle overs were crucial too. Moeen got his opportunity and he bowled really well. This is a format where we want players to play fearlessly, we want to give them freedom.

"Credit goes to our bowling unit too who were always looking to pick wickets, especially Moeen. Not much, complete freedom from our side. Moeen is a quality player who has opened in the past. He couldn't get going with the bat, but very happy with what he did with the ball."

Player of the match, QDK said, "Nice to get my opportunity, wanted to make it count. To be fair, haven't felt any challenges yet. Have had 3 months off which felt nice. Had about a 10 day build-up to this season. Only my second game here, just taking it as I see it."
