The IPL 2025 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals is on a knife edge in Guwahati. Although the deck is not a belter, the game is edging towards a close finish.
In the ongoing IPL 2025 match between KKR and RR, KKR's bowlers delivered an impressive performance, restricting RR to 151/9 in their allotted 20 overs.

Spinners Varun Chakaravarthy and Moeen Ali were instrumental in the middle overs, each claiming two wickets and stifling RR's run rate. Pacers Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora also contributed effectively, securing two wickets apiece.
Chasing a target of 152, KKR promoted Moeen Ali to open alongside Quinton de Kock. This decision aimed to capitalize on the powerplay overs and set a strong foundation for the chase.
The opening partnership displayed intent, with de Kock showcasing his aggressive batting style and Ali providing steady support. But Moeen Ali's slow start didn't convert to a pacey one as the England all-rounder visibly struggled to find his timing.
The England all-rounder was introduced as a replacement for Sunil Narine and was excellent with the ball. With his off spin, Moeen picked up two crucial wickets and just conceded 23 runs in his four overs. But his batting display was dismal as the former CSK player only scored 5 runs off 12 deliveries, before getting dismissed bizarrely via Run Out.
The KKR fans observed his innings and sarcastically expressed their relief after the Englishman's dismissal.
This fan says Rajasthan Royals didn't celebrate enough the wicket of Moeen Ali. Perhaps they wanted him to stay a bit more at the crease?
A fan on X thought the Knight Riders missed a trick and should have opened with Ajinkya Rahane. Moeen Ali has previously been a vicious player for CSK at the middle order and KKR perhaps should have done that.
