RR vs KKR Toss update: Kolkata Knight Riders captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and elected to bowl first against Rajasthan Royals in match 6 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday (March 26).
After opening their campaigns with defeats, Riyan Parag-led RR and Rahane’s KKR aim for wins when they face off for the first time in Guwahati, having seen their previous meeting at the venue end in a wash out.

RR opened their season with a 44-run loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, where they failed to chase down a mammoth 287, while KKR lost by 7 wickets at home against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, failing to defend 174.
As for RR vs KKR team news, Sunil Narine misses out for Kolkata Knight Riders. Hence, England all-rounder Moeen Ali has been handed his KKR debut in the West Indies mystery spinner's absence.
RR, on the other hand, has also made one change from their defeat to SRH with Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga coming in to replace Afghanistan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi in the playing 11. Here is what the captains said:
After opting to bowl first, KKR skipper Rahane said, "The wicket looks good. Dew factor is huge here. It's about staying positive and playing fearlessly. We learnt a lot from the previous game. Sunil Narine misses out, he's not well. Moeen Ali comes in."
