RR vs LSG Playing 11 IPL 2024 Match 4: Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Supergiants will clash against each other in their first match of the IPL 2024 on Sunday (March 24).

The two teams play the first match of the doubleheader, starting from 3:30 pm IST and the match will be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals have a decent squad and is one of the favourites to qualify for the playoffs this season. They have a balanced unit and would be hoping to thrive under the guidance of Sanju Samson. The Royals went to the Final in IPL 2022 but last year was a disappointing one where they failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Lucknow Supergiants have made it to the playoffs in their first two seasons but not beyond that. Hence the LSG supporters would be expecting to take the next step in the campaign. The departure of Andy Flower and Gautam Gambhir from the coaching staff will be a blow for the Lucknow team, but they made some decent buys during the auction.

RR vs LSG Team News, Injury Update

Both teams have all but a couple of squad players fit and available for selection for the upcoming match on Sunday (March 24). Royals recently roped in Tanush Kotian as a replacement for Adam Zampa and Prasidh Krishna is out injured. Lucknow acquired Shamar Joseph to replace Mark Wood.

For RR, Jos Buttler will be an automatic choice as the English batter has been a pivotal part of the team. Along with Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson comprise a strong top order for them. Shimron Hetmyer and new boy Rovman Powell can slot in the middle-order whereas it may be Trent Boult who completes their four-man overseas quota.

For Lucknow, captain KL Rahul will be at the top with Kyle Mayers. Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran may be their other foreigners. Ravi Bishnoi will lead the spin department and we may see Shivam Mavi making his debut for LSG.
