Mitchell Owen is set to make his debut for Punjab Kings in today's IPL 2025 match against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

The Punjab Kings announced the acquisition of the Australian player earlier this month as a replacement for Glenn Maxwell, who was ruled out with an injury.

"Punjab Kings (PBKS) have picked all-rounder Mitch Owen as a replacement for Glenn Maxwell, who has been ruled out of the remainder of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 due to a broken finger," a statement from IPL wrote.

Mitchell Owen, born on September 16, 2001, is a promising Australian cricketer known for his all-round abilities. He bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace. Owen was born at Kingston, a place near Hobart.

Owen made his Twenty20 debut for the Hobart Hurricanes on January 12, 2021, during the 2020-21 Big Bash League (BBL) season.
