Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will swap red for green when they take on Rajasthan Royals in match 28 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday (April 13).
Traditionally held at their home venue in Bengaluru, RCB's go green game is set to be held for the second successive year away from the M Chinnaswamy Stadium due to the lack of a 3:30 PM IST fixture in their home venue this season.

Rajat Patidar's RCB has won three and lost two with all three of their wins coming away from home, while Sanju Samson's Royals head into the Battle Royal on the back of three defeats and two wins, but take confidence from beating the Bengaluru-based side on their last visit to Jaipur.

This will also be the third meeting between RCB and RR in a go green match. Both teams share a win each in their previous meetings in such encounters in 2018 and 2023. Now, let's take a look at why the green jersey is used and how is the kit made by Puma ahead of RR vs RCB IPL 2025 match 28:
RCB wear a green jersey in one match every season as part of their "Go Green" initiative. This initiative was launched in 2011 with the primary goal of raising awareness about environmental issues, particularly the importance of planting trees and reducing the effects of global warming.
As part of the special day, the skipper of RCB will present a plant as a memento to the opposition skipper during the toss. Also, the Bengaluru-based franchise wears the green jerseys made of 100 percent recycled materials. Here is how the kit is made:
While all of RCB's jerseys this season are also crafted using PUMA's Global RE:FIBRE fabric, today's game symbolically highlights the initiative, with the team donning green to draw attention to the cause.
The RE:FIBRE fabric, imported from Vietnam, is made with 95 per cent recycled polyester sourced from textile and other polyester waste. It is designed to be recycled multiple times without any loss in quality.
Reinforcing RCB's commitment to circular fashion, fans will also have the opportunity to return this jersey next season in exchange for a new one - completing the cycle of Return. Recycle. Repeat.
