Rajasthan Royals host Sunrisers Hyderabad in match 52 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on double-header Sunday (May 7) with the match set to start at 7:30 PM IST.

Sanju Samson's RR head into the match on the back of their fifth defeat of the season, while SRH, who will be led by Aiden Markram, are fresh from their sixth defeat of the campaign. RR has won 5 of 10, whereas SRH has won 3 of 9 matches so far.

The two sides clashed in Hyderabad earlier this season, and it was the inaugural champions, who emerged victorious by 72 runs against the 2016 champions at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Now, the two sides will clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, which will host it's fourth match of the season. The Royals suffered a 10-run loss to Lucknow Super Giants, but bounced back with 32-run win over Chennai Super Kings before suffering a 9-wicket loss to Gujarat Titans.

A sunny day that is expected to become clear before play with a maximum temperature of 37^o C reducing to 31^o C during the playing hours. There is no chance of rain. So, weather is unlikely to play spoilsport when Rajasthan Royals host Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Sawai Mansingh Stadium Pitch Report

The Sawai Mansingh Stadium has been known produce some competitive wickets in the IPL, but not many matches have been high-scoring at the venue with the average score batting first in IPL being 158. Dew also will be factor in the second part of the match.

The IPL record at the venue shows that teams batting second have had the most success, but the recent games, including RR's defeat to LSG and CSK's loss to the Royals, has seen teams defending win the match. However, RR's loss to GT saw the team chase win the match.

In the season opener, RR restricted LSG to 154, but could only reach 144 in response. In the second match at the venue, RR bounced back with a 32-run victory over CSK thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal's fifty. In the most recent match, GT spinners bundled out RR to 118 and chased the target with ease.
