RR vs SRH: Rajasthan Royals (RR) win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2024 Qualifier 2 on Friday (May 24) will not only make them qualify for the final against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday, but also help Sanju Samson break Shane Warne's long-standing record in the T20 league.
A win against SRH at the MA Chidambaram Stadium will make Sanju Samson the Rajasthan Royals captain with most wins in the history of IPL. RR's win against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2024 Eliminator on Wednesday was Samson's 31st win as the team's captain in the IPL.

Warne captained Rajasthan Royals from 2008 to 2011 in 56 matches and led them to 31 wins. The Australian legend had a win percentage of 55.35 as RR captain.
Rahul Dravid led the Jaipur-based side 40 times from 2012 to 2013. Rajasthan won 18 IPL matches under him. Overall, the current India head coach captained RR to 23 victories. His win percent was a solid 57.50.
Shane Watson and Steve Smith are two other Australian greats who have led Rajasthan Royals. Watson won seven out of 23 T20 games for RR, while Smith guided the Men in Pink to 15 wins in 27 matches.
Chennai Super Kings star Ajinkya Rahane led RR in 24 matches from 2018 to 2019. During the period, Rajasthan Royals lost 15 times.
Sanju Samson took charge of Rajasthan Royals (RR) for the first time in 2021. Since then the 29-year-old has led the team in 60 matches - the highest by any player in the franchise's history. Samson has a win percent of 51.66.
Sanju Samson, who led RR to the final against Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2022, is the second-highest run-scorer for his team in the ongoing season. His tally of 521 runs in 14 matches at an average of 52.10 is the sixth highest this season. The Kerala-born cricketer has also been named in the India squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.
