Goswami had suffered an injury to her heel ahead of the first T20I.

On Friday, India women registered a nine-wicket win in the second match and now lead the T20I series 2-0.

The BCCI medical team in consultation with a local doctor felt that she needs rest for a couple of weeks to avoid any further impact on the bone.

Upon her return, Goswami will consult a foot expert and will undergo her rehab process at the NCA in Bengaluru.

Goswami had recently completed 200 wickets, the first woman to do so, in the ODIs and played a good role in India's 2-1 series win over South Africa.

India Women's T20I squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (vice-captain), Mithali Raj, Veda Krishnamurthy, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Anuja Patil, Taniya Bhatia (wicket-keeper), Nuzhat Parveen (wicket-keeper), Poonam Yadav, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Shikha Pandey, Pooja Vastrakar, Radha Yadav, Rumeli Dhar.
